DIY Pantyhose Hair Ties
Pantyhose and tights get holes in them and run after awhile, but instead of tossing them into the trash, recycle them. All you need is a pair of scissors to repurpose old hose into cool, functional DIY ponytail hair ties that will hold your hair with ease and a minimum of fuss. This can be done with just about any type of hose or tights and will make that old pair of stockings come in handy.

1
Lay the pantyhose on a flat work surface. Stretch it out completely.
-
2
Cut 3-inch sections of the bottom part of the stockings using scissors. These can be used for hair ties. Cut larger sections, such as 6-inch sections, from wider portions of the stockings such as tops of the stockings. These larger portions can be used as hair bands. You should be left with a complete circle of stocking once you've made the cut.

3
Scrunch the stocking circle you've cut to create a bunchy hair tie. Put the tie in your hair just as you would any other ponytail holder. Slide the larger circles over your forehead to use as a headband.
