1
Prepare your nails for the polish. You must remove any traces of oil that may keep the nail polish from sticking to your nails. Simply pour nail-polish remover onto a cotton pad and swipe it over each nail.
-
2
Apply a base coat to your nails. You must never skip this step, because the base coat gives the polish something to adhere to. It also protects the nails from staining caused by dark polishes. Apply one thin coat of the base coat over each nail and allow the nails to dry for a couple of minutes.

Apply the polish. Apply it in three thin strokes. For example, apply one stroke from the bottom left of the nail to the top of the nail. Apply another coat from the middle left to the top and the last coat from the bottom right of the nail to the top. Allow the polish to dry for a couple of minutes.

4
Apply another coat of polish to the nails in three strokes again. You must never apply one thick coat of polish because the polish will take longer to dry and may chip or smudge. Allow the nail polish to dry.
-
5
Apply a thin top coat over the nail polish. This product is designed to protect the polish from chipping, so never skip this step. Allow the nails to dry for a couple of minutes.
-
6
Apply oil to your nails every day to keep them from drying out and chipping. Simply rub a little cuticle oil or jojoba oil over your nails.
