With the Malayalam font installed, you can read Indian news stories directly from Kerala-based news sites.

Malayalam fonts allow Internet users to read Web pages that have been constructed using South Indian symbols from the state of Kerala. There are many variations of the Malayalam font available on the Internet, but they all do the exact same thing. To install it so it works on Google Chrome in the Windows operating system, you need only copy the file to your Windows fonts folder and then change Google Chrome's encoding algorithm.

Instructions

    • 1

Download the Malayalam Unicode font Anjali Old Lipi to your desktop (see Resources).

    • 2

Open "My Computer" and navigate to C: > Windows > Fonts.

    • 3

Drag the font file from your desktop to the "Fonts" directory.

    • 4

      Launch Google Chrome.

    • 5
