How to Arrange a Cupcake Birthday Table
For ease of serving and creative presentation, cupcakes should be in your arsenal of birthday dessert options. You do not have to cut cupcakes for serving, and they can be arranged in different designs to add interest to the cake table. Cupcakes can be an exciting alternative to a traditional cake. Things You'll Need
- Kraft paper
- Masking tape
- Crayons
- Blue frosted cupcakes
- Cloth tablecloth
- Serving platter or tiered dessert tray
- 2 Candlesticks
- 2 Taper candles
- White frosted cupcakes
- Chocolate frosted cupcakes

Cover the cupcake table with kraft paper and tape it to the underside of the table with masking tape to hold it in place.

Draw a picture on the kraft paper using crayons of a large fish or a clown with a raised hand.

Arrange the cupcakes above and to the side of the fish's mouth or the clown's raised hand.

Leave at least two inches of space between the cupcakes. The cupcakes near the fish are bubbles from the fish, and those near the clown are a bunch of balloons he is holding.

Draw a line with a crayon from each cupcake to the clown's hand for the string for the cupcake balloons.

Drape a cloth tablecloth over the cupcake table.

Center a serving platter or tiered dessert tray in the middle of the table.

Set a candlestick with a taper candle in it on either side of the serving platter to replace the candles inserted into the cake. Light the candles just before serving.

Place the cupcakes in concentric rings on the serving platter or on each tier.

Alternate rings of white frosted cupcakes with rings of chocolate frosted cupcakes to resemble a bull's eye on the serving platter or on each tier of the dessert tray.
