Do-It-Yourself Candy Favor Bags for Weddings
When planning a wedding reception, give special attention to guest favors. Favors are thoughtful ways of thanking wedding guests for sharing your special day with you. Making your own favor bags will allow you to save money while creating customized treats. Fill the bags with any type of candy, such as Jordan almonds, chocolate kisses or jelly beans featuring wedding colors.
Things You'll Need
- Circular tulle fabric, 10 inches in diameter
- Candy
- Thin satin ribbon
- Card stock
- Scissors
- Glitter pen
- Hole punch

Place a circular piece of tulle fabric that is 10 inches in diameter on a flat work surface. Choose tulle fabric featuring a color, such as white, pink or blue, that matches the wedding color scheme.

Place a few pieces of wedding favor candy in the center of the fabric.

Gather the edges of the tulle together to create a bag. Tie a piece of thin, satin ribbon into a bow around the top of the bag to secure it closed.

Cut a a 3-by-3-inch square of white card stock . Write the wedding details, such as the couple's names and the date, on the card using a glitter pen.

Punch a hole in the upper left corner of the tag. Tie the tag to the bottom of the ribbon to attach it to the bag. Place one favor bag by each guest's place setting.
