on 11/22/2005 Too little water, or too long in the microwave, and the rice ends up as hard as it was when it went in. The cure? Fork in some warm water and allow the rice to stand for a while. It won't be perfect, but it will be perfectly edible.

on 11/22/2005 Don't transfer the burnt rice to another vessel. Simply place a slice of bread on top of the rice, shut it tight, and leave it alone for half an hour.
