Things You'll Need:

Step 1
Blot the blood with an absorbent cloth, being careful not to spread the stain.

Step 2
Use a small amount of mild detergent directly on the stain. Work the detergent into the stain with a toothbrush or small brush.

Blot the area with a clean, dry, white cloth.

Step 4
Pour a small amount of ammonia on the stain. Allow the ammonia to sit for several minutes to break up the stain.

Step 5
Blot the area with a clean, dry, white cloth.

Step 6
Apply a small amount of detergent directly on the stain.

Step 7
Blot the area with a clean, dry, white cloth.

Step 8
Rinse the area with clean water.

Step 9
Blot the area with a clean, dry, white cloth.

on 9/13/2008 OMG! it works and thank you to my precious syd (she at 26 nov 18, 2007 died in a tragic car accident) for when we went to clean her place she had shaving lotion and I NEVER buy it. FANTASTIC! and lady's don't be so stupid as to us one of those razor blade heel thingys as they will only torture you and I had BLOOD every where!

on 6/18/2008 The Barbasol shaving cream method works. I had 30-40 blood spots on light brown carpet that were 10 mins old when I started. Had to go over each stain a few times with a cloth and it took about 45 mins to get rid of them all. Didn't harm the carpet or color.
