How to Crochet Beaded Anklet Socks
Anklet socks come in a variety of colors and designs. Anklets specifically made for infants and small children are sometimes adorned with lace or ribbon around the top edge. Manufactured specialty anklets are adorned with bows, bells and small holiday ornaments. Anklets adorned by crafters sport lace, beads, bows, buttons and bells. Crochet an adornment of beads around the top edge of any pair of thin fabric anklets with minimal effort. The attachment process is the same for any size bead.

2
Turn the anklet inside out. Insert the crochet hook through the anklet fabric approximately 1/16 of an inch from the edge. Loop the pearl cotton over the crochet hook. Pull the loop through the fabric and through the slipknot. Chain eight stitches.

3
Remove the crochet hook from the pearl cotton loop. Slide a pony bead over the loop and to the middle of chain 8. Insert the crochet hook through the loop.

4
Insert the tip of the crochet hook through the sock fabric approximately 1/4 inch from the previous stitch and approximately 1/16 inch down from the edge of the sock. Complete a single crochet stitch.

5
Chain 8 stitches. Slide one pony bead onto the stitches. Attach the chain to the anklet with a single crochet stitch. Repeat this process around the circumference of the anklet.

6
Attach the final stitch to the anklet. Cut the pearl cotton approximately three inches from the end of the crochet hook. Loop the pearl cotton over the crochet hook. Pull the loop through the loop on the shaft of the crochet hook. Continue to pull the loop until the end of the pearl cotton is through the loop. Pull the end of the pearl cotton tight to form a knot.

7
Weave the ends of the pearl cotton back and forth through the single crochet stitches on the top of the anklet. Cut any excess pearl cotton ends.
