This rich cocktail from Joe Campanale warms you up from the inside.
Hot Buttered Rum Recipe
Makes 1 drink2 ounces dark rum, such as Gosling’s
1/2 ounce simple syrup
1/4 ounce heavy cream
1 teaspoon unsalted butter, softened
6 ounces hot water
Cinnamon stick, to garnish (optional)

In a heat-safe glass or mug, combine the rum, simple syrup, heavy cream, and butter.  Top the glass off with the hot water and stir to melt the butter.  Garnish with a cinnamon stick, if desired, and serve.
