Organizing the bridal shower for a stressed-out bride can be tons of fun as you get to see your her relax, enjoy and stop worrying about details -- even if only for a few hours. As you and all of your guests honor her and shower her with gifts, thank the guests by giving them a special favor to remember the day.
Video of the Day
Whether you have candies, cookies, chocolates or other sweet treats to use as favors, goodies like that are almost guaranteed to be appreciated. For cookies or cupcakes, write words with icing, or for individually wrapped chocolates, you can have little wrappers or tags printed with a special message. Ideas for edible favor sayings include "A sweet new beginning," "A sweet thank you," "Here's to a sweet life together," or for a bridal shower with a humorous undertone "Men are like chocolate, avoid the nutty ones!"
Non-Edible Themed Favors
For a themed bridal shower, choose favors and sayings that go along with the theme. If you're hosting a beach or tropical themed bridal shower, gift little flip-flop key chains imprinted with a message; small bottles of sand and shells with a printed message on the bottle; or a bottle with a scroll of paper inside holding the message. The message can be something as simple as the bride's name with the date of the shower, or a cute saying or poem like "Celebrating sun, sand and fishes; wishing everlasting love for the new Mr. and Mrs." Key chains come with all sorts of cute charms, such as a big diamond ring, which would be nice for a bridal shower. Something you can add to such a key chain would be a tag saying something such as "Congratulations to the bride-to-be, love and happiness is the everlasting key."
If you are a creative, witty writer, write your own short poem to use. The saying can be anything from extremely sentimental or personal to funny or downright silly. Think about the bride you are honoring, the mood, the atmosphere, the theme of the bridal shower and the people attending. Don't use adult undertones or super-silly high-school kinds of sayings for a crowd of older relatives you don't know very well. Choose a saying that conveys the message you want your guests to look back on 10 years from now and remember what a great time they had honoring the bride.
