Learn how to make German pancakes and Dutch babies in the free series of breakfast recipe videos from our professional baker and experienced chef.

Series Summary

German pancakes, also known as Dutch baby pancakes or Dutch babies, are actually closer to Yorkshire pudding than the traditional flap-jack style pancakes familiar to the American eating public. Although made with milk and egg batter as well, the German/Dutch variety is not fried but baked in a pre-heated pan in a very hot oven until the batter has risen. Upon serving, the batter quickly falls, giving the pancakes a consistency and appearance somewhere between an omelet and a soufflé. This dish is then topped off with syrup and powered sugar and often garnished with fruits

In this free series of cooking videos from our professional baker Kip Bradford, you will learn his step-by-step method for cooking these delicious breakfast treats. He tells you how to mix the batter and bake it to perfection. Why not add a special regional flare to your weekend brunch with this exciting recipe?
