I'm Terry with Towers Murray Plumbing here to show you how to fix a fill valve in a toilet. Now when fixing the refill valve in a toilet there's a lot of different manufacturers, a lot of different parts and pieces that can be fixed and/or replaced. Now on this particular one, you'll want to turn the water off, flush the toilet. This one has a little arm that comes up and the top will pop off and there's a seal inside here that will wear out and you just need to take it down and replace it. Now on some of the different manufacturers of refill valves, you'll have two, sometimes three screws that you'll have to remove and inside will be a plunger that needs to be replaced. You just take those down, match them up. Once you've matched it up and you've got the same one, you just work everything in reverse, snap everything back together, turn your water back on, flush the toilet a few times, make sure that thing is going to shut off and once you get it all reinstalled, there may be some fine tuning or fine adjustments to get the water level to the right height. And again I'm Terry with Towers Murray Plumbing, and we've just shown you how to fix a fill valve in a toilet.
