Hi, I'm Tyler Elliott with Elliott Remodeling, and in this segment, I'm going to show you how to caulk your windows. Caulking your windows is important when you've just installed windows as well as doing it annually throughout the life of your house. Caulking your windows fills the gap between your framing and the actual window. This saves you time and money by saving you energy. Caulking your windows is just like caulking any one of your water appliances. Take a thin bead, which is accomplished by cutting just the very tip of the caulk gun off and run your bead all the way around your window. Once the bead is run, use your finger, which is damp, and run it all the way around, pushing the caulk into the seams. Once this is done and you're confident you have enough caulk around the seam, use a damp rag to remove the excess caulk. Once this is done, simply let it dry and you're good to go. Once again, I'm Tyler Elliott, and this has been how to caulk your windows.
