Hello, everyone. I'm Joshua Clement, and today I'm gonna talk to you about how to seal the gaps in your window air conditioner unit. It's important to use an insulation that is not sticky. You don't want something that is going to leave residue on your window sills. For this job I'm gonna be using some board fiber glass insulation that way I can cut it to the right thickness and slide it in the gap in the window. So we've cut the size to slide into the window that way it's just a little bit of pressure. You don't want to smash the insulation because that's going to reduce the effectiveness of the insulation. You want it just a little tight and you want to place it on the side of the window and slide it in and you can go ahead and do that on the sides and the bottom of the window air conditioner. You don't want to do it on the top because you have a channel that allows the window to attach to it and you want to avoid messing with that. It's very easy to insulate around your air conditioner. A lot of people don't do it but it can save you money in running your air conditioner cause it does not allow that hot air to come into your house. Thank you all for watching and good luck with this project.
