Hi, I'm Lisa Yakas, microbiologist in the consumer products program at NSF International. And today, I'm going to show you how to make your kitchen floor smell clean. You will need a measuring cup, vinegar, a clean mop and bucket, and a floor fan. Step one, make sure your mop is clean and not dirty or moldy. If it is, it could make your floor smell. Install a clean mop head or purchase a new mop before you clean. Mix equal parts white vinegar and hot water, in a bucket. Step three, mop your floor with this solution to remove dirt and any foul odor. Step four, rinse your bucket and mop. Step five, fill the bucket with clean tap water and use a clean mop to rinse the floor. Step six, place a fan in the room, to expedite the drying of the floors. Once the floors are dry, they should smell fresh. I'm Lisa Yakas and that's how you get the smell out of your kitchen floor.
