Hello, my name is Joshua Clement with Lighty Contractors, and today we are going to be discussing how to properly vent your electric dryer. For this we are actually going to be using a indoor dryer vent kit. This is ideal for those places where you can't get an exterior vent in. These things work great. For this you also need a flat head screwdriver. In the vent kit we purchased it actually came with the duct work we need to hook to the dryer. And a clamp. What you want to do is take your clamp and place it over the duct work. And slide the duct work over the exit tube for the dryer. Take your clamp and make sure you have an adequate amount of the duct work showing on the opposite side of the clamp. And tighten down the clamp until snug. You want to make sure you do not over tighten the clamp because these clamps tend to strip out if you tighten them too tight. On the other side you want to take your duct work and place your clamp over the duct work. And then place the duct work over the vent trap. Once that's on, go ahead and tighten down your screw. Again make sure you do not over tighten. Now for this vent trap we actually have to put water inside of it. That keeps your dust from blowing through the house. Mount this on the wall and you are ready to go. I'm Joshua Clement with Lighty Contractors. And thanks for watching.
