Hi, I'm Devra Gartenstein with Quirky Gourmet. Today I'm going to show you how to wilt spinach leaves. Wilting spinach leaves is basically a matter of cooking them in a pan and lightly steaming them so they just cook slightly. They kind of wilt. Here I have a frying pan with a little bit of water in the bottom. You don't want to use so much water that they're submerged. You don't want to boil them in the water. You just want to create some steam. Here is pre-washed spinach. I love pre-washed spinach because I don't really enjoy washing spinach. So I'll put these in here and toss them. It really only takes a minute or two. It's so easy to overcook spinach. And it's a very sad thing to do to spinach. And here you have spinach leaves wilted in a pan.
