Hi, I'm Heather Bertinetti and you're watching eHow.com. I have a quick tip for you. If a recipe calls for buttermilk and you don't happen to have any on hand and maybe you don't feel like going out to the store to buy some, it's very easy and simple to make your own buttermilk at home. For one quart of milk, regular whole milk, you can add one full tablespoon of lemon juice and let it sit for five minutes. In this case I'm going to do a half batch so I have two cups of milk and I'm going to do a half a tablespoon of lemon juice. Just give this a little stir and that's it. Folks, we just made some buttermilk. I'm Heather Bertinetti. Catch me again on eHow.com.
