How to Connect a Pioneer DVD to a Television

Chad Buleen

While connecting a Pioneer DVD player to a television is not necessarily difficult, there is more than one way to complete the connection. Depending on what kind of television you have, you might choose to use the audio/video cables that are included or you may choose to connect the DVD to the television with an HDMI cord.

Audio/Video cables

  1. Place the yellow plug in the DVD player's "Video Out" outlet and plug the other end into the "Video In" outlet on the television.

  2. Insert one end of the white plug into the "Audio Out L" outlet on the DVD player and the other end into the "Audio In L" outlet on the television.

  3. Insert one end of the red plug into the "Audio Out R" outlet on the DVD player and the other end into the "Audio In R" outlet on the television.

HDMI Cable

  1. Find the "HDMI Out" outlet on the DVD player.

  2. Insert one end of the HDMI cord into the outlet.

  3. Find the HDMI input terminal on the television and insert the HDMI cord.
