Cost
Aluminum and vinyl are two of the more popular patio awnings available. Convenience
A vinyl awning can be installed as retractable, which extends the life of the awning by getting it out of the sun and elements. A retractable awning also allows you to enjoy things such as a sunrise or sunset without an obstructed view. An aluminum awning cannot be retracted and is left exposed to the sun and elements. An aluminum awning requires periodic cleaning and repainting.
High Winds
