In "Red Dead Redemption" How Do I Access My Satchel?

"Red Dead Redemption" is a western action shooting game for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 home gaming consoles. Players take on the role of John Marsten, a former outlaw who is helping the government take down the members of his former outlaw gang. Marsten keeps all of his essential items in his satchel, in keeping with the western motif of the game. The satchel menu features several screens through which players can browse through their consumable items, such as whiskey and tobacco; look at acquired treasure maps; view horse deeds and perform other game functions.

Xbox 360

Press the "Back" button on the Xbox 360 controller at any time to bring up the satchel menu.

Press the "Left Bumper" and "Right Bumper" on the Xbox 360 controller to switch the corresponding submenu in the satchel menu. Use the control stick to highlight different selections; press the "A" button to activate a highlighted selection.

Press the "Back" button on the Xbox 360 controller to exit the satchel menu.

PlayStation 3

Press the "Select" button on the PlayStation 3 controller at any time to bring up the satchel menu.

Press the "L1" and "R1" buttons on the PlayStation 3 controller to switch to the corresponding submenu in the satchel menu. Use the control stick to navigate through the selections; press the "X" button to activate a highlighted selection.

Press the "Select" button on the PlayStation 3 controller to exit the satchel menu.
