  • Saucepan with lid

  • 1 cup orange slices

  • Strainer

  • Bowl

  • Water bottle

  • Funnel

The peels of fruit contains a sweet scent to use in air fresheners.

Make your own natural air freshener without using expensive essential oils. Boil aromatic ingredients to infuse water with their scents. Flower petals, spices, citrus peelings, coffee grounds, pine needles and other items all add scent to water. The air freshener provides a fresh, crisp smell to a room. Because some ingredients smell stronger than others do, you may need to adjust the recipe. For example, if you use cloves, use half a tablespoon rather than a whole one.
