Things You'll Need

  • 0.065-inch string

  • Knife or scissors

  • Tape measure

The Weed Eater RTE115C is an electric-powered weed trimmer. You can replace the string by reloading the old spool with new trimmer string or by installing a pre-loaded spool. Reloading an old spool is cost effective but takes more time. The process for replacing the string is not overly difficult regardless of the method you choose. If you use replacement string, only use 0.065-inch string or else you could damage your trimmer.
