False eyelashes increase the length and thickness of your natural eyelashes. Individual false eyelashes create the most natural look, especially when applied to the outer corners of your eyes with an eyelash adhesive glue. Removing false eyelashes simply requires softening this adhesive glue. While many false eyelash kits come with an adhesive remover, you can also use a variety of other household products to safely remove the glue.

Place a small amount of eye makeup remover on a cotton swab. As an alternative to eye makeup remover, you can use extra virgin olive oil, coconut oil or baby oil.

Gently dab the remover onto your upper eyelash line where you placed your false eyelashes with the eyelash adhesive glue. Let it soak in for a minute.

Hold a clean cotton ball underneath your upper eyelashes as you let the remover soak in to prevent it from dripping into your eyes.

Gently pull off the false eyelashes with tweezers once the glue has softened. If you are just removing leftover glue, dampen a cotton ball with water and gently wipe away any glue residue.

Rinse your eye area with lukewarm water to ensure your natural eyelashes are clean and free of residue.

Repeat Steps 1 through 5 to remove the eyelash adhesive glue from your other eye.

Warning

Never try to remove false eyelashes by simply pulling them off. This can cause damage to your natural eyelashes.
