Dogs are playful and loving pets but their behavior can cause them to become nuisances. They can disrupt landscapes, gardens and flowerbeds by digging holes in the ground and leaving piles of waste. Dogs can shed hair on furniture, carpet and upholstery. Homemade dog repellents are designed to discourage dogs from using designated interior and exterior spaces. Repellents containing certain all-natural ingredients are harmless to a dog's health and well-being.
Things You'll Need
- Biodegradable coffee filters
- White vinegar
- Large tray or cookie sheet
Place a stack of biodegradable coffee filters in a bowl. Completely soak the stack of coffee filters with white vinegar.
Spread the vinegar-soaked coffee filters over a large tray, such as a cookie sheet. Allow the coffee filters to thoroughly air-dry in the sun.
Cut the coffee filters into small slivers using scissors. Make the slivers the size of matchsticks.
Sprinkle the slivers around the perimeter of the area you want to protect.
