Wood is one of the most common materials used today for building homes and hardwood floors, as well as paneling for walls and ceilings; not to mention tables, chairs, and other home furnishings. Super Glue is one of the strongest adhesives on the market today. When it gets spilled on wood, it makes the surface uneven and unpleasing to the eye. There are several ways to get the Super Glue off of the wood, and any method you use can damage the wood. You must be careful.
Things You'll Need
- Acetone-based nail polish remover
- Cotton swabs or cotton squares
- Plastic putty knife
- Warm water
Video of the Day
Pour some acetone-based fingernail polish remover on a cotton swab or square. Rub just the Super Glue with the acetone-soaked cotton swab or square.
Allow the acetone to sit for at least 10 minutes.
Use the plastic putty knife to scrape off as much Super Glue as possible.
Repeat as needed to remove all the glue.
Wash the wood with warm water and a clean washcloth immediately after the Super Glue is removed to avoid any stains on the wood.
