A cigarette filter system fits over the end of the cigarette. When you inhale, the filter traps tar and particles. The filtration system should be cleaned after you smoke 10 to 15 cigarettes, or as needed based on your personal preferences. If you fail to clean the filter, it will not effectively work.
Things You'll Need
- Liquid dishsoap
- Filter cleaning brush
Unscrew the cigarette filter from the o-ring. The o-ring is the portion on the filter which fits over the cigarette.
Fill a bowl with warm water and a squirt of liquid dishsoap. Place the filter in the soapy water and allow it to soak for five minutes.
Lift the filter from the soapy water. Insert the wire-end of the filter cleaning brush into the filter to clean the mouthpiece. Use the soft-end of the brush to wipe down the outside of the filter and the o-ring.
Rinse the o-ring and filter under cool running water to remove all soap residue. Allow the pieces to air dry prior to using.
