Trucks that have been "jacked up" have huge tires and are elevated much more than standard pick-up trucks. These truck tires can roll over just about anything and immediately attract attention wherever the truck goes. Drawing one of these jacked-up trucks requires the illustrator to place the large wheels at a different point than normal for a basic truck drawing. However, by utilizing the basic shapes of a truck, you can create an illustration of a jacked up truck with relative ease.
Things You'll Need
- Black ink pen
Draw a cube for the front of the truck. Do this by drawing a rectangle. Attach diagonal lines that are pointing toward the upper right corner of the page. Attach these lines on the upper left, right and bottom right corners of the rectangle. Draw a horizontal line to connect the top two diagonal lines. Draw a vertical line to connect the bottom diagonal line with the top right diagonal line.
Add a trapezoid for the front window with two diagonal lines coming off the top of the cube. Draw a horizontal line to connect these two diagonal lines. Draw the body of the car with a long, thin diagonal rectangle that points toward the upper right-hand corner of the page.
Draw the wheels with large circles. Place these on the front left and right side of the truck. Place a circle on the back right side of the truck. Draw a semi circle for the back left side wheel as the body of the car obscured the rest of the wheel. Give the wheels at least a solid inch of room from the body of the truck to the wheels to make the truck seem "jacked up."
Add upside down "U" shapes over the back and front right-hand side tires. Add the side view mirrors with two small rectangles coming off the bottom right and left corners of the front window. Add the cab of the truck with a rectangle attached to the right-hand side of the front window.
Draw the headlights with three rectangles on each side of the front end of the car. Add the grill with a rectangle in the middle of the front of the car. Draw two parallel horizontal lines across the front of the car. Add the side windows and doors with a vertical line running from the middle of the right-hand side of the body of the truck and continuing to the roof. Add another vertical line starting just below the right-hand corner of the side window and continuing to the end of the body of the truck.
Draw crisscross diagonal lines inside the grill. Add the front bumper with a long rectangle across the bottom front of the truck. Erase any overlapping guidelines you no longer need. Ink the entire picture. Let the ink dry and carefully erase your pencil marks.
