Use baking soda to clean a dirty trash can.

Sprinkle two tablespoons directly in the bottom of your trash can to help neutralize odors. If you have a wicker or metal trash can, try placing a baggie with two tablespoons of baking soda in the bottom of your trash can. Just leave the top of the baggie open so the baking soda can absorb any odors.
