How to Set Up A Panasonic Home Theater System. You can enjoy movie theater sound in your living room when you set up a Panasonic home theater system. With proper speaker placement, you'll marvel at the sound of the movies that are played. Nothing beats being enclosed by the music, dialogue and sound effects of your favorite films. The only thing you'll miss is movie-theater butter on your popcorn. Follow these steps to learn how to set up your system.
Step 1
Choose a location to set up the Panasonic receiver. Depending on the system, you may have a separate power amplifier or radio tuner, as well. Keep these components in an area where they will not be damaged accidentally. Try to protect them from dust, too.

Place the front pair of speakers so that they bracket the television screen. Keep them at least the same height as the screen. You may choose to mount them on the wall above the television, as well.

Center the center speaker. Whether you place this above or below the television screen, try to get it as close to centered as possible. If the center speaker is markedly off center, the dialog and narration of movies will seem to be biased toward one side.
Step 4
Set up the sub-woofer so that it's close to the television, but not so close as to cause magnetic interference. Generally, you should place it at least 3 feet from your monitor.

Find places for the rear speakers, which are also known as the surround sound speakers. They complete the sound stage of your Panasonic home theater system.

Complete the cable connections for the speakers. Run cables from the audio outputs of the receiver or power amplifier to the input jacks of the speakers.
Step 7
Connect the receiver to the television. Output goes to input so, you need to connect the audio outputs of the television to the audio inputs of the receiver. If you have the option to use digital audio, remember to make only one type of audio connection: either digital audio or just standard stereo audio.
