Dreft is a brand of laundry detergent created by Procter & Gamble, intended for washing baby items like clothing and blankets. The soap is supposed to be gentler on the baby's skin than regular detergent.

Prepping for Baby's Arrival
Items like bibs, blankets, nursing shirts and undergarments can be washed in Dreft before the baby arrives to ensure they are clean.
Put a small amount of the soap in a pretreater bottle and blot any stains with it before putting the clothing in with the wash.
Food stains can treated by filling the washer 1/3 full with cold water, adding the appropriate amount of Dreft for one load of wash and soaking the garment for 30 minutes before washing it.
Soiled cloth diapers can be soaked in cold water, then in a mixture of the detergent and bleach for a half hour before washing to remove stains.
Before packing away baby items for your next child or to pass along to someone, clean them with Dreft to help preserve them.
If you prefer to use a gentler detergent for your entire family's wash, it's fine to use Dreft to clean their clothes as well.
