Calf muscles are one of the most worked muscles in the entire body. A lot of weight is put on them every time you walk. Calf muscle problems can range from serious medical conditions to slight muscle spasms.
Nerves
There are many nerve disorders than can cause calf pain; the main disorders are peripheral neurotherapy, multiple sclerosis and regular neuropathy.
Sleep
Restless leg syndrome, which occurs when you sleep, is the main cause for calf muscle pain in sleep disorders.
Exercise
If you exercise too intensely, you can tear the muscle fibers in your calves, which results in days, if not weeks, of painful soreness.
Poor Diet
If your muscles do not have enough minerals or electrolytes, they are more prone to muscle cramps and spasms, which can be very painful.
Poor Circulation
If you are not getting enough blood into your calves, it can be because of many different blood disorders such as deep vein thrombosis, arterial inefficiency or venous inefficiency.
