DIY Geometric Wood Bangles

I’ve had this set of wood bangles in my jewelry box for a while now but I haven’t been getting much use out of them. In the spirit of upcycling, I wanted to give them a summer makeover so colorful graphic designs were in their near future.

This is one of those projects where you can really get creative and customize your pattern and color scheme. Match the bracelets to your swimsuit or sarong, then wear the stack to a pool party! Keep on reading for the steps to make your own.

Supplies for DIY Printed Wood Bangles

Wood bangles
Acrylic paint
Painter’s tape
Paint brush

Cut pattern from painters tape using scissors

Step 1: Cut a pattern out of the painter’s tape.

Adhere the cut pattern to the bangle

Step 2: Place cut pattern onto the cuff.

Paint the outside of the bangle

Step 3: Paint the outside of the bangles. Let dry, then peal off tape.

Paint the inside of the bangle

Step 4: Paint the inside of your bangle. Let dry.

Freehand stripes

Freehand stripes on your second bangle. Let dry. Done!
