I don’t know about the weather in your neck of the woods, but around these parts it qualifies as freezing. I do realize that “cold” is a relative term, and that New Englanders reading this post would chuckle at my southern definition of chilly temps, but I think we can agree that come late January we are all craving a taste of spring. While the cold wind carries on outdoors, let’s find ways to sneak a little spring influence into our homes…
Spring is for the birds. Lucky for us, bird-themed decor is sticking around for yet another spring season. I for one could not be more excited. From throw pillows to wall prints, birds are a great way to welcome in warmer weather.
Freshen up with fresh flowers. Even though we aren’t quite ready to bring in blooming buds from our own gardens, there are dozens of inexpensive options hanging around your local super market. Pull out brightly colored vases and fill with an assortment of fresh flowers to remind you of warmer weather waiting just around the corner.
Scrub your way into spring. Why wait until March to kick of spring cleaning? Get a head start by cleaning out closets and packing up boxes to donate to a local cause. That way, when temperatures start to rise, you can enjoy time outdoors instead of locking yourself inside to finish sprucing up for the season.
