Ingo Maurer is no birdbrain. This German lighting designer has been wowing the lighting industry for some time now with his inventive designs. They’re a little bit unusual, sure, but they’re also incredibly beautiful.
His “Birds, Birds, Birds” chandelier, for instance, uses actual goose feathers, incandescent bulbs and wire to create a fluttering, whimsical effect that really brings the piece to life. It looks like delicate, illuminated birds are flying overhead!
The chandeliers are handmade, so they come in different shapes, with either silver or red and blue wiring. If you’re in search of a statement piece, I think you just found it.
