I’m always on the hunt for a great pesto. It’s tasty. It’s fast. And it can be used on just about anything. Though there are plenty of recipes to make it at home, it’s sometimes nice to have it on hand for the days I want to avoid the mess of extra dirty dishes. When my favorite brand was discontinued, I had pretty much given up on finding a suitable substitute – until I discovered Basiltops.
These pesto sauces taste incredibly fresh and store well for use whenever the mood strikes. Pasta, crusty breads, caprese salads, sandwiches… the list is practically endless. My favorite quick fix is to spread some on a homemade pizza crust (though any premade crust or bread would work), cover with fresh mozzarella and stick it in the oven until the cheese is melted and bubbly. It’s a great alternative to ordering out. Cheaper, too!
Basiltops can be found at some specialty shops and markets, but they can also be ordered online in a variety of flavors.
