A few months ago, we made the big move into our new place and have been settling in ever since. The first plan of attack was to simply empty our boxes and get rid of the cardboard obstacle course we’d created in our living space. Once that was accomplished, our focus fell on those finishing touches that really help make a house a home. My favorite little something being the enormous boquet of faux flowers we picked up for our antique bookcase. I’ve long thought artificial flowers were, well, artificial-looking, but these newer versions have come a long way from the stuff I recall from childhood.
Though they don’t have the lovely fragrance a real bouquet would bring, the attention to detail makes them a beautiful addition to any room. Bonus, you don’t have to replace them every couple of days. They make me smile each time I pass them. For that reason alone, I thought they deserved a special moment of acknowledgement here.
