Coffee Done Right: The French Press

I LOVE shopping for kitchen gadgets! Though I’ve accumulated many over the years (leading to an organizational nightmare best addressed in a future post), my absolute favorite is probably the simplest of the bunch. I heart my French Press. You don’t have to be a coffee aficionado to fully appreciate the French press, as even the java newbie may find the pressing mechanism hard to resist. Come on, you know you want to. But anyone who does love coffee will notice the flavor is more robust due to the fact the materials used to make the press do not contribute any additional taste to the final product. All you get is the pure flavor from your chosen coffee beans.

Even if you already have a press, you’d be amazed by the latest designs from Bodum, as the press has apparently gone trendy. In addition to the original, you can choose from a variety of styles, shapes and colors.
