After my mom got her new iPhone, I figured it would be fun to use FaceTime to talk so we could see each other at the same time. My mistake was that I assumed my mom knew that she had a camera on the front of her phone and that she’d realize it was an incoming video call and not a regular phone call. Both assumptions turned out to be very wrong, so to prevent another involuntary otoscopic exam I had some tutoring to do.
Since my mom lives in Sweden we used a free messaging app called WhatsApp to avoid running up my phone bill.
Hopefully this will be useful for you guys if you ever try to teach your parents or grandparents how to use FaceTime.
