On the heels of a report that the U.S. government might be spying on Americans via their Internet browsers, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg fired off this terse blog post in response. After all, why is Facebook held to such strict privacy standards if Big Brother is watching from Washington? Zuckerberg called Obama, reportedly to voice his concerns. The White House confirmed the phone call, but the details were too private for them to reveal.
Colin Powell Busts Out 60-Year-Old Selfie for #TBT
Former Secretary of State Colin Powell just proved he’s cooler than all of us with this flashback pic for Throwback Thursday. “I was doing selfies 60 years before you Facebook folks. Eat your heart out Ellen!” Powell posted. The old-timey photo promptly blew up his Facebook page. Bring on the copycats with the vintage selfies!
What? No! Amazon Prime is Now $99?
Be prepared to go deeper into your pockets this year for Amazon Prime. We’ve been taking advantage of them long enough, says the online retail behemoth, because they haven’t raised their Prime membership prices in nine years. The service, which offers free two-day shipping with a library of over 40,000 movies, will be jacked up from $79 to $99 for existing members when their memberships renew this year.
