Lots of news for a Monday—some good, some bad. These three topics might come up in conversation today—if they do, you know a bit about them.
Seahawks Destroy Broncos
Ouch. This one was hard to watch if you were a Denver fan. First play from scrimmage—12 seconds in—the Seahawks were in charge and they never let up. Losing quarterback, Peyton Manning said he wasn’t “embarrassed” by the lost, but how could he not be? It was probably the worst Super Bowl defeat ever. Photo: SI
Staten Island Chuck Predicts Six More Weeks of Winter
If you believe in Groundhog Day, the news is grim—six more weeks of arctic weather—well into late March. It probably didn’t help that New York mayor Bill de Blasio fumbled Chuck the groundhog (seen here). Don’t worry—Chuck’s OK. Photo: SiLive

The details are depressing. The Oscar winner leaves behind three kids in an apparent drug overdose, as well as an impressive body of work and appearances in the forthcoming Hunger Games series. Photo: WSJ
