Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370’s Black Box Loses Power This Weekend
The hunt for Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 goes into overdrive today as the energy source (and more importantly, the pings) from the missing airplane’s black box stop on Monday. The Great David Letterman Will Retire in 2015
The Thursday afternoon audience of the Late Show with David Letterman got a huge surprise when Dave sprung the news that he was retiring in 2015. “What this means now, is that Paul and I can be married,” he joked. Letterman, 66, doesn’t have a firm end date yet, as he apparently just informed CBS CEO Les Moonves right before going out on stage. Rumor has it that Letterman’s staff was weeping backstage after his live announcement. Photo: CBS/Late Night
White House “Objects” to Obama Selfie Tweeted by Big Papi
This photo above, taken by pro baseball player David “Big Papi” Ortiz with President Obama, is now under scrutiny. Apparently Ortiz was paid to take the photos at the White House and tweet them to promote their Galaxy phone… but the White House claims it had no idea about the deal, saying they “object in this case” to the President’s image being used commercially. No word yet on what the repercussions will be. Is this a conflict of interest? Photo: David Ortiz/Twitter
