Many people struggle with their weight. One issue that can even affect people who are otherwise thin is belly fat. While there are many methods to try to lose belly fat, including exercise and dieting, some people rely on dietary supplements such as Relacore to help them take the pounds off.
Causes of Belly Fat
Stress can cause belly fat. According to the U.S. National Institutes of Health, stress raises the levels of the steroid hormone cortisol in the blood. The adrenal gland produces cortisol in response to the release of ACTH, which the pituitary gland releases in response to stress. Both physical and emotional stress can trigger these hormone releases. High levels of cortisol prompt the body to store fat in the midsection.
Relacore is a dietary supplement that contains various herbs and plant products, including passion flower, magnolia and panax ginseng. Relacore also contains vitamins C, B1, B2, B6 and B12, as well as calcium and magnesium. Relacore works as a mood enhancer to reduce stress and therefore the body's production of cortisol and retention of belly fat.
How to Take Relacore
A Relacore dose consists of two capsules and is taken three times a day: in the morning, noon and evening. The manufacturer recommends taking Relacore with a full glass of water. It is not necessary to take Relacore with food, but you may do so if you wish. The maximum daily dose of Relacore is six capsules.
Relacore Extra is a maximum strength version and its two capsules should be taken twice a day, in the morning and the late afternoon. Relacore Extra also requires a full glass of water for each dose, and you may take it with food if you choose. The maximum daily dose of Relacore Extra is four capsules.
Relacore PM is a nighttime version. Two Relacore PM capsules should be taken with a full glass of water one hour before bedtime. You may take Relacore PM with food, although bedtime is soon after the dose. The maximum dose of Relacore PM is two capsules per day. A dose of Relacore PM may replace the final daily dose of Relacore or Relacore Extra.
Relacore should not be taken by anyone under 18, pregnant or nursing women, or people with heart disease, prostate problems or low HDL cholesterol. Consult your doctor before taking any Relacore product, especially if you have one of these medical conditions or if you are taking other medicines or supplements.
