Removing trees can cost a lot of money. There are grants available to assist you with removing trees. There are grants for states, counties or individuals, no matter where you live.

VBRRA

The Victorian Bushfire Reconstruction and Recovery Authority has a grant for people who have had their yard or property damaged by bushfires. The grant helps to meet the cost of assessing and removing hazardous trees. The grant can be up to $4,000.

Harold K . L. Castle Foundation

The Harold K. L. Castle Foundation has a four-year grant that you can apply for. The specific grant is an EQUIP Grant. It will pay out roughly $101,710 to help remove trees for fences, windbreaks, fire breaks and site preparation.

Cal Fire

The state of California does have a fire prevention grant program to remove dead trees, however, as of 2020, the program is not active and suggests you check back. Visit the California Fire Prevention Grant Program for the latest.
