Botox, gel fillers and chemical peels are all popular ways to get rid of face wrinkles, including frown lines. The problem is that they cost a bundle. If you’re looking to get rid of your frown lines but need a less expensive ways to do it, you will need to step away from the doctor’s office and look for less invasive ways of dealing with your wrinkles.

Keep your skin moisturized. Anti-aging creams usually contain ingredients that will help not only hydrate the skin but also increase the production of collagen. Creams containing retinoids and alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) are usually expensive. Instead, look for creams with vitamin E, A and C or green tea, which are usually present in cheaper brands.

Start wearing sunglasses. Frown lines are often caused by squinting at bright lights, so wearing sunglasses will help you relax the skin in the area and the muscles under it. As the muscles relax, the lines will soften and become less obvious.

Buy vitamin E oil capsules at your local pharmacy. Break one open every day and apply before bed, after cleaning your face. You can also use olive or castor oil on frown lines. Simply apply to the frown lines and massage to help the oil penetrate the skin.

Tape your face. You can buy a product called Frownies at your local pharmacy or beauty shop or you can use some tape to produce the same effect but cheaper. Clean your face and make sure the skin is dry and free of creams or oils. Stretch the skin towards your ears so the lines disappear and then place the tape directly on the area. This will help the muscles relax and the skin to “heal,” helping the lines vanish.
