There are many unique ways to make the shoelaces on your Vans look cool. If your shoes are still laced up the way they were when you bought them, it is time you change the pattern to suit your personality. Some of the most popular lacing methods include crisscross lacing, over-under lacing, straight European lacing, straight lacing, and biking lacing. Two of the most popular lacing patterns for Vans -- lattice and spider web -- include crisscross lacing and over-under lacing.

Spider Web Lacing

Run the lace through the second set of eyelets from the bottom. Pull both ends down along the outside and feed them through the bottom eyelets.

Cross the ends over each other. Feed the ends under the sides and pull them through the next open set of eyelets going up the shoe. Take the ends and run them straight down to loop them under the existing vertical lace at the next lower set of eyelets. Cross the ends over each other and feed them through the next open set of eyelets.

Repeat step two until both ends reach the top of the shoe.

Lattice Lacing

Pull the ends through the bottom eyelets. Cross the ends over each other and run them diagonally upwards on the outside. Feed them through the eyelets three holes up the shoe.

Run both ends straight up the inside. Pull them through the next set of eyelets up the shoe. Cross the ends over each other and pull them diagonally on the outside towards the bottom. Feed them through the third-lower eyelets down.

Run both ends straight up the inside. Pull them through the set of eyelets one up on the shoe. Cross the ends over each other again and run them diagonally up the shoe on the outside. Feed them under and through the top set of eyelets.
