Homemade Cream With Essential Oils for Acne & Rosacea

Acne and rosacea are common skin problems that affect most teenagers. Creams can be made at home to get rid of acne in a matter of weeks. The trick is to include essential oils in the homemade acne cream. Acne develops when harmful oils penetrate your skin and form red blotches. You can reduce the spots by replacing the harmful oils with good ones like coconut or lavender oil. Additionally, acne and rosacea breakouts can be prevented by regular use of homemade creams.

      • Acne and rosacea can be prevented by using homemade creams containing coconut oil. This oil is beneficial to the skin because of its antiviral, antifungal and antibacterial properties. It speeds up the skin's recovery process and prevents further damage. It can even slow down the aging process of your skin. A well-known homemade cream for acne involves mixing kaolin powder (a fine white clay) with some coconut oil to make a paste. Apply it to your face and rinse off after it has dried. This will leave your skin smooth and devoid of acne-causing oils.

      Lavender Oil Cream

      • Lavender oil is very beneficial for your skin. It is a natural antibiotic for skin problems like burns, acne and scarring. You can purchase acne and rosacea creams but making your own cream at home is less expensive. Dip cotton swabs in lavender oil and apply it on your skin. This will leave your skin soft to touch and healthy looking. Another treatment is a homemade cream. Take the white of one egg and add 2 tablespoons kaolin (a fine white clay), 1 tablespoon honey, 1 tablespoon yogurt and 2 drops of lavender oil. You will get a paste that can be applied on the skin. Leave it for a while and wash it off when dry. Your skin will become smoother and signs of acne will be visibly reduced. Skin irritation will not take place any more.

      Sandalwood Oil Cream

      • Sandalwood oil is also very effective for curing skin problems. It has antimicrobial properties that help keep your skin healthy. It acts as an herbal antiseptic which not only keeps the skin fresh and clean, but also heals skin burns. It moisturizes your skin and leaves it smoother than before. The skin can be saved from further damage from the sun by using sandalwood oil. Mix some black gram powder with sandalwood oil and apply the paste on the acne-affected areas. This will reduce acne scars. This is a common homemade cream that can help get rid of acne and rosacea.
