Grey hair can be an embarrassment as we begin to age. Keeping the natural color of your hair despite your age can be an inexpensive natural and safe process free of side effects of chemical hair color restoration methods.

    Diet

  1. Eat foods rich in protein, vitamin A, vitamin B, iron and zinc. Foods rich in these vitamins and minerals include red meat chicken green leafy vegetables carrots broccoli squash and apricots. Consume a multivitamin containing these vitamins to supplement the dietary sources of these vitamins and to fill in any deficiencies of these vitamins in the body.
  2. Biotin

  3. Using biotin carries two benefits within the hair. Biotin can prevent thinning hair and eventual hair loss in addition to treating and preventing gray hair. Use a biotin supplement containing at least 500 micrograms of biotin twice daily. Biotin can also be found in romaine lettuce, tomatoes, almonds, strawberries, halibut, oats and cow's milk
  4. Coconut Oil

  5. Condition the hair with coconut oil before or after shampooing. Rub the coconut oil in to the scalp and towards the tips of the hair follicle. Allow the coconut oil to soak into the hair and into the scalp for one to three minutes before rinsing with lukewarm water.
