Unwanted erections can be an embarrassing problem for teenage boys and men alike. Controlling and preventing an unwanted erection can be as simple as making a few wardrobe adjustments and controlling your thoughts. Controlling erections can lead to better experiences when engaging in sexual intercourse and in self-pleasure.

    Wear Loose Clothing

  1. Wear clothing that fits loosely in the crotch area. Selecting clothing which fits loosely not only can conceal an erection that occurs at an inappropriate time, but can also prevent non-sexual erections, caused by the friction between the body and clothing while walking or sitting when wearing tightly fit clothing.
  2. Control Your Thoughts

  3. Think of things that are not related to sex. Having non-sexual thoughts will help to take your mind off the erection, which will, in turn, lead to the erection subsiding quickly. Becoming preoccupied with the erection will only increase the duration and intensity of the erection.
  4. Use Masturbation

  5. Use the stop-and-go technique when you masturbate. Masturbate until you are extremely close to having an ejaculation. Using the stop-and-go technique with a normal pattern of masturbation helps you control unwanted erections, while at the same time increasing the intensity of an orgasm during masturbation and sexual intercourse.
