Several people you know have indoor plants that are flourishing and look beautiful. You wonder how they get their plants to look and grow as they do. Indoor plants are available in a wide variety of types so maybe you need to find the ones that are easy to grow and do not require a lot of attention. This is a perfect way to enjoy indoor plants even if you do not have a green thumb. Everyone will then compliment you on how pretty your indoor plants look.

    Considerations

  1. Let's face it--some indoor plants are just hard to grow no matter what you do. They end up dying. If you stick with the easy to grow plants, you will not have to worry about their lack of attention or if you give them too much water occasionally.
  2. Snake Plant

  3. The Mother-In-Law's Tongue is actually a Snake plant. It has long spiked leaves that are hard. They are green with yellow sides. This plant only requires a small amount of water in the summer and hardly any water in the winter. You can set this plant just about anywhere in the home, as it will grow under low light conditions as well as sunny locations. Snake plants are slow growers in some years so do not worry if you don't see any new growth for a while. As long as it stays green, it is fine.
  4. Ivy

  5. One of the most popular indoor plants for everyone is the Ivy. Ivies require hardly any care. Ivy can be ignored for long periods without water. When it is thirsty, you will notice a droop in the leaves. Give it water and it perks right up. Ivy can be placed anywhere in the home and will do well. An ivy plant will grow runners or vines that you can train to trail anywhere you want them. Some people have had an ivy plant in the same container for years and years and will have vines growing completely around the room.
  6. Spider Plant

  7. The Spider Plant or Airplane Plant is at the top of easy to grow plants. This plant has long slender leaves and makes baby plants that hang from it. The small baby plants already have roots and can be clipped from the larger plant to replant in another container. Airplane plants like east-facing windows, but will grow in just about any condition. It does need regular watering but let the soil dry out between watering.
